PETALING JAYA: The service matter involving Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain has yet to be finalised, the Home Ministry (KDN) said today.
In a statement, KDN said it had taken note of and appreciated public feedback concerning Mohd Shuhaily’s service.
“The service matter involving the AKPS director-general is still in the process of being finalised,” it said.

The ministry said the matter would be handled in an orderly manner in accordance with the regulations and procedures in force.
It also stressed that its priority was to ensure AKPS continued to carry out its duties effectively in safeguarding the country’s security and sovereignty.
The ministry said the agency, which is approaching its second anniversary, was established to strengthen border control and protection management.
“As an important agency committed to strengthening border security, ensuring smooth operations, protecting national revenue, and upholding integrity and discipline, KDN’s priority is to ensure AKPS continues to perform its role effectively,” it said.
The ministry added that, in managing the service matters of its officers, it would give due consideration to operational continuity and the smooth execution of AKPS’s duties.
“AKPS is responsible for coordinating and strengthening border control and protection functions to safeguard the country’s security and sovereignty,” it said.
