Enjoy Simply Scandinavian for the second time featuring Chef Sayan Isaksson

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur once again presents a tale of gastronomy with its latest collaboration with Michelin starred chef, Sayan Isaksson, from 26 February to 3 March 2024. Voted as the number one chef in Sweden, Chef Isaksson’s style emphasises the fusion of culinary influences to create unique experiences, with a focus on Japanese traditions blended with modern Scandinavian cuisine.

As the current head chef of Nour, a Michelin Star restaurant in Sweden, Chef Isaksson Shared, “My goals have always been the same throughout my career, to create a contemporary gastronomic experience that is both local, global and in fine tune with nature.”image is not available

“This allows me to create out of this world flavours and truly create something truly unique. I am excited to once again be back in the kitchen of the Mandarin Grill and the opportunity to create an even greater impact than I did six years ago,” he added.

A Returning Talent

The Mandarin Grill previously hosted Chef Isaksson in 2018 during the 30th Anniversary of a global event also titled Simply Scandinavian, a musical and gastronomic celebration of Scandinavian cuisine all over the world. Since then, Chef Isaksson has continued to perfect his craft and will showcase the best of Scandinavia at the Mandarin Grill.image is not available

This time, the talented chef will prepare four different menus, two lunch menus and two dinner menus. The lunch set menus begin at RM158 for the 2-course menu and RM198 for the 3-course menu. Meanwhile, the dinner menu features a full degustation menu for 5-courses or 8-courses for RM368 and RM398. The Mandarin Grill will be open for reservation from 19 February 2024 onwards.
