Videos provided by the eyewitness showed the driver and a police officer arguing before the confrontation turned physical.
THE DRIVER of a Singapore-registered vehicle was involved in a physical altercation with Malaysian police officers on the road leading to Woodlands Checkpoint shortly after midnight on Aug 16.
An eyewitness, Aeric, 40, told Mothership that the incident occurred at about 12.08am while he was caught in traffic.
He said he was unaware of what triggered the confrontation and did not notice anyone appearing to sustain injuries.
Aeric reportedly said the incident caused some disruption but did not result in significant congestion as traffic was relatively light at the time.

The situation escalated when the officer allegedly threw his motorcycle helmet towards the driver’s face. The helmet appeared to strike the driver before landing further away.
The driver then appeared to regain his balance before pushing and kicking the officer.
Another officer intervened in an attempt to separate the two men, but the confrontation continued, with both appearing to exchange further challenges.
The men were eventually escorted towards the driver’s vehicle, while several police officers directed traffic into the rightmost lane.
The circumstances surrounding the altercation and whether any action was taken against those involved were not immediately clear.
