With the conclusion of its fourth season, streaming giant Netflix has officially confirmed that production for Single’s Inferno Season 5 is now well underway.

Single’s Inferno follows a group of charismatic singles who are put on a secluded island. In a quest for romance and genuine connection, the singles compete in challenges for a chance to temporarily escape to paradise with their love interest. After many twists and turns, the participants ultimately choose who they want to leave the inferno with back to the real world.

Season 1 of Singles Inferno made history as the first Korean reality show to hit Netflix’s Top 10 streaming chart. Since then, Season 2 has amassed over 65 million viewing hours, and subsequent seasons of the show have consistently stayed in the Netflix Top 10, securing its position as one of the most popular reality dating shows globally.

A big part of the show is the sharp and amusing commentary from the panel including Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, KYUHYUN, HANHAE, and previous contestant Dex. Watching alongside the viewers, the panel fuels discussions, voices popular and perhaps unpopular opinions, and makes predictions, keeping the audience engaged.

“We’ve made it to Season 5 thanks to the immense love and support from our viewers,” write the series producers Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun, and Park Suji in a press release. “Season 5 will be filled with new excitement and romance.”

All four seasons of Singles Inferno are currently on Netflix.

Stay tuned for more details regarding Season 5 in the coming months.
