SIPITANG: An additional reservoir needs to be built at the Water Treatment Plant in Kg Lawa, here, to ensure supply problems that have been occurring in Beaufort for a long time are completely resolved.
Lumadan Assemblyman Datuk Ruslan Muharam said the proposal follows the approval for RM320.25 million from the Federal Government for a short-term solution to Sabah’s chronic water woes.
He said it was a more appropriate proposal compared to the proposal to construct a concrete dam in Sg Padas near the Jempangah Water Plant.
