SIPITANG: The Sipitang Murut Community Association (PMMS) will organise the Sipitang Open 9-a-side Football Tournament for three days starting July 28-30 to be held at Padang Topten.

Its chairman Maudin Malinchi said this when contacted by Daily Express here on Wednesday saying the competition welcomes teams to participate.

“The champions will receive a trophy and medal in addition to winning cash amounting to RM5,000.

“The runners-up will also receive a trophy and medal along with RM3,000 while third place will also receive a trophy and medal along with RM1,500 and the fourth, RM1,000,” he said

Mudin further informed that there would also be a prize of RM200 awarded to the best team.

Each participating team is required to pay RM400 and a deposit of RM200 must be paid in advance.

One of the objectives of the tournament is to unearth new talents in the football arena in particular and as a platform of unity between teams.
