PUTRAJAYA - Human Resources Minister V Sivakumar has denied that his residence was raided by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Sunday.

"It didn't happen," he said after the National Training Week 2023 Pre Launching Ceremony on Monday.

He said he would fully cooperate on investigations into corruption involving foreign worker quotas if needed.

"Let them carry on their investigations, they are still in progress. We will provide our full cooperation if needed.

"If called to give a statement, we will provide 100 per cent cooperation," he said.

The media reported on Sunday that Sivakumar was present at the MACC office to assist in investigations after the commission arrested three individuals, including two ministry officers, last week.

Sources said that Sivakumar was present at the MACC office around 10am. It was also reported that Sivakumar's residence was raised by MACC.

The media report stated the MACC had searched his residence and office after taking the statement.

It is believed that the search was conducted to investigate claims that millions of ringgit were received through a middleman to guarantee continuing government contracts by certain individuals.

The report also added that the search involved tracking money obtained by Sivakumar.
