S Sivasangari clinched the 2026 Squash Australian Open women’s title, defeating Marina Stefanoni 3-0 to claim her first PSA gold-level trophy in over a year.

NATIONAL squash star S Sivasangari emphatically ended a 13-month title drought by capturing the women’s crown at the 2026 Squash Australian Open in Brisbane.

The tournament’s top seed delivered a commanding performance to overpower seventh-seeded American Marina Stefanoni 3-0 in the final at South Bank Piazza.

Sivasangari secured the gold-level Professional Squash Association (PSA) title with a dominant 11-7, 11-4, 11-8 victory that lasted just 28 minutes.

This triumph marks her first title since February last year, when she won the Cincinnati Gaynor Cup by defeating Egypt’s Amanda Sobhy.

The 27-year-old had earlier booked her final spot with a semi-final win over Belgium’s fourth seed Nele Gilis.

She defeated Gilis 11-8, 13-11, 11-4 to advance to the championship match.
