Tuaran: SK Rugading were crowned champions of the Under-12 Tuaran District Schools Sports Council (MSSD) Football Championship organised by the Tuaran District Schools Sports Council (MSSD), which took place at the Sabah Royal Turf Club field in Tambalang on Friday.
In a thrilling final match, SK Rugading defeated SK Berungis with a score of 2-1, while third place was shared by SK Lok Yuk and SK St John.
The two-day tournament brought together 26 primary school teams from across the Tuaran district.

In his closing speech, Rijahan expressed his appreciation to the parents for their strong support of their children.
“Without their consent and encouragement, this tournament would not have been successfully realised,” he said.
He further emphasised that such support was important to ensuring continued efforts by schools and MSSD in scouting and nurturing young football talents.
During the same tournament, Mohamad Fahrin Ashraf Abdullah from SK Rugading was also recognised and awarded the title of Best Player of the Championship.
