
Kota Kinabalu: Ten students from SM All Saints made Malaysia proud by winning the prestigious Gold Award at the Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) 2025.
The event, held from Feb 2 to 6, in conjunction with Thailand Inventors’ Day, brought together young inventors from across the globe to showcase their innovative projects.
AdvertisementRepresenting SM All Saints under the Shell Nxplorers Club, the delegation comprised two teachers — Disimon Edmund Gansoi and Laila Azwa Taulani — and Form 2 and 3 students.
The students presented four innovative projects: ProTrack by Ryan Ng Jun Lei and Muhammad Aiman Rasydan Rosnan, The EcoSwitch by Nathylee Faye Jaikol Udar and Nichelle Essabelle James, The Smoke Spotter by Theodore Robbie Beiti, Clarissa Ruth Manji, and Olivia Lee Ya Chen, and The Compostinator by Alarry Dylan Alex, Callen Hudson Gumbilai Songping, and Kumanan Shanmugam.

The students’ journey to IPITEx 2025 began with their outstanding performance at the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, where their projects caught the attention of international organisers, leading to an invitation to compete in Bangkok.
