The platform works across WearOS by Google, Android, and Linux, and it packs an integrated NPU for on-device AI, and at best, compute in parallel with phones, XR devices, and other personal tech.

Aside from powerful AI TOPS performance, the new suite of advanced sensor fusion and low-power computing support features like context-aware recommendations, natural voice interaction, life logging, and AI agents that can take action on your behalf.

From a pure hardware standpoint, they claimed that there’s up to 5x better single-core CPU performance and up to 7x faster GPU performance compared to the previous generation, while battery life will be longer than before by up to 30%, with 10 minutes of charging juicing the device by 50% of the battery capacity.

Connectivity also got a pretty big upgrade, as Qualcomm uses a multi-mode architecture running 6 key techs of 5G RedCap for low-power cellular connectivity, Micro-Power Wi-Fi for always-on syncing, Bluetooth 6.0 for proximity-aware interactions, UWB for precise and secure device interactions, GNSS for smarter location-aware AI experiences, and NB-NTN for satellite-based two-way messaging when terrestrial networks aren’t available, working with ecosystem partners like Skylo.

The first commercial products powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite are expected to arrive in the coming months.
