  • Wednesday is predicted to feel "markedly" colder across the UK, with widespread rain, sleet, hail, and snow over higher ground, and temperatures potentially dropping to -5C in rural Scotland overnight.
  • A widespread frost and icy patches are possible on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, though temperatures are expected to return closer to average from Friday.
