
PAPAR: Reputed developer WSG Group has embarked on a new commercial project named “Kinarut Palm City” consisting of 64 units of double- and three-storey shoplots. It opened for sale Sunday.
Its Managing Director, Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen, said Kinarut Palm City is a high yield investment for buyers as it is a new township located merely 15km from the State capital or a 15-minute journey by car.

“In conjunction with its soft launch, early birds are given discounts of RM38,000 until end of this month for any booking,” Susan said, adding that the 64 shoplot units are priced from RM1,388,000 onwards with land tenure of 999 years.

“I wanted to launch this new project 10 years ago, but there is a land about 10,000sq feet in between which caused traffic congestion on the whole Kinarut road.

Susan said the new development surrounded by housing estates developed by her company, namely Taman Sungai Wang with over 200 double-storey terrace houses, Rose Garden with more than 400 double-storey terrace homes and The Palm Condominium with over 500 residential units.

Meanwhile, Susan said her company is donating 11 lion heads to local lion dance troupes in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year.

“Furthermore, the Chinese New Year Dragons, Unicorns and Lions Dance Festival cum Children’s Colouring Competition 2025 organised by the United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu (USCCAKK) will be held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Jan 4, 2025.
“To ensure the Women Committee under USCCAKK bring out their best to showcase at the Cultural Village Exhibition on Jan 4, we have organised a rehearsal in this event to let all of you have a taste of the delicacies that will be showcased by the 13 Chinese clans,” Susan said.
Photos of the cuisines would be published in our Chinese New Year Dragons, Unicorns and Lions Dance Festival cum Cultural Village Exhibition 2025 commemorative magazine, as well as be publicised in the media, she added.
She invited the public to the Chinese New Year Dragons, Unicorns and Lions Dance Festival cum Cultural Village Exhibition 2025 on Jan 4, next year.
“Admission for the festival and Cultural Village Exhibition 2025 is free for all the activities that day.
“The festival is a whole-day affair from 8am to 8pm. Do stay till the end because we have added a lucky draw session with attractive prizes to be won, including a bicycle, two RM1,000 cash prizes, three RM500 cash prizes, and 10 RM300 cash prizes,” she said.
