Southampton are yet to pick up their first points of the season, suffering three consecutive defeats in their opening three games. Their most recent loss prior to the international break came against Brentford, when they were beaten 3-1 and find themselves 19th in the table. The visitors today also suffered defeat last time out, a 3-0 loss against bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford two weeks ago. United have won just one of their first three games, which came against Fulham on the opening day of the season.
