Spain star Lamine Yamal says he is not yet ready to play the full game in their second World Cup group clash with Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

He came on as a substitute in the shock 0-0 draw with debutants Cape Verde in the favourites' opener.

"I am ready for everything the coach demands of me. But I am not yet ready for a whole match," the 18-year-old, who had a hamstring injury, told broadcaster RTVE on Friday.

He said there was no need to take a risk at this stage.

Fellow winger Nico Williams has also been short of fitness but could start the Group H encounter in Atlanta.

"Physically he is better than me," Yamal said about Williams. "But we are not in a hurry. We have a great team with top players and we are taking it step by step."
