It is one of our lifelines.” Meanwhile, mixed martial arts athlete Gina Iniong, a former competitor in Asia’s largest martial arts organization, emphasized the importance of strong private sector partners behind Filipino athletes. She will represent the Philippines in the first MMA event in the Asian Games.
“Preparation has been great. The POC has given us its one hundred percent support. The support from sponsors means a lot to us. If there are problems, they extend a helping hand and put the needs of the athletes first,” Iniong said.
