KUALA LUMPUR — National sprint sensation Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi has once again shattered the national indoor 60-metre record, clinching bronze at the 2025 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The 2024 Asian Games bronze medallist, representing Auburn University, clocked 6.56 seconds in the 60m final, held in Bryan-College Station, Texas, early this morning.

The 20-year-old improved on his own national record of 6.60 seconds, set last month at the Tiger Paw Invitational in California.

The gold medal went to Jordan Antony of the United States, representing the University of Arkansas, who crossed the line in 6.54 seconds. Azeem’s teammate, Nigeria’s Israel Okon, secured silver, finishing just 0.01 seconds behind. — March 2, 2025
