Eintracht Frankfurt have announced Oliver Glasner is leaving the club.

The coach has a year on his contract, but is departing as Eintracht Frankfurt have failed to win in the last 11 games.

Glasner has been linked with Tottenham and Chelsea after leading Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League title last season.

Eintracht chief Markus Krosche stated: We are of the opinion that after all the speculation and turmoil that has arisen in recent weeks and months with regard to the coaching personnel, that clarity is now essential moving forward so that the coach and the team can completely focus on achieving the objectives for the season and the cup final."

Glasner also said: I accept the decision made by the club management, which was explained to me in a clear manner.

The talks with Markus Krosche and Timmo Hardung were honest, open and fair, just as our communication in the last few years has always been constructive and guided by a great deal of mutual respect."
