Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga is the subject of serious loan interest.
The 23-year-old has not been playing regularly for Spurs this season under coach Antonio Conte.
However, The Express suggests that Conte will not let Tanganga leave on loan either.
He wants the defender for squad depth, despite there being up to eight teams that are prepared to take him on loan.
Tanganga would only be allowed to go if Spurs signed a replacement before the transfer window closes.
Given that appears unlikely, the youngster will have to settle for a bit part role until the summer.
