Former Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle has questioned Ange Postecoglou's uncompromising tactics.

The Australian head coach had his team playing a very high defensive line against Chelsea.

Despite taking the lead, Spurs were pegged back when Christian Romero gave away a penalty and received a red card.

Even after going down to ten men, and later to nine men after a second red card, Postecoglou's team still defended high and eventually lost the game 4-1.

If Tottenham keeps playing that high, near the halfway line, then I think its footballing suicide with 10 men," Hoddle stated at half-time, when the score was 1-1.

You can't get pressure on the ball and they'll get picked off. They've got to play a little bit deeper.

They've done it all season. They had the defenders in there that they've had it work, but it seems to me they haven't changed their tactics. They've got to change."
