SPX Express has added 10 new electric delivery vehicles to its fleet for operations in the Klang Valley, part of the company’s ongoing effort to build out its capabilities to serve Malaysian businesses and customers.
Officiated by YB Puan Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications, alongside representatives from SPX and Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Malaysia, each EV offers a range of up to 200km on a single charge, a payload capacity of up to 1,015kg, and 4.8 cubic metres of cargo space, specs SPX says are suited to the demands of urban parcel delivery.
The vehicles will be deployed for daily parcel deliveries across the Klang Valley, and their rollout will also let SPX evaluate performance across different delivery conditions to inform longer-term fleet planning.
The EV addition builds on other investments SPX has made across its delivery network. In 2025, the company put RM63.2 million into automated sorting technology at its Bukit Raja Selatan Sorting Centre, more than doubling the facility’s processing capacity to over two million parcels a day.
Together, the sorting upgrade and the new EVs address different parts of the delivery chain, with automation boosting capacity and efficiency at the sorting stage while the EVs expand the range of vehicle technology available for last-mile delivery, part of SPX’s broader push toward a more connected and resilient logistics network.
