The games are about to begin again. With anticipation of the long-awaited second season of Squid Game at a fever pitch, Netflix is bringing the show to life in Kuala Lumpur.

Ready, Players

With the series launching on 26 December, Netflix Malaysia has partnered with MRT Corp for an immersive takeover in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. From now until 13 January 2025, the world of Squid Game has been brought to life at MRT Ampang Park Station (PY20) in Kuala Lumpur.

Squid Game Fever

Fans are invited to channel their inner Player 456 in a series of interactive elements and photo opportunities mirroring the show, but with less deadly consequences.

Located at the concourse, they can recreate their own Squid Game experience from the infamous Player Registration Grid to the iconic Maze Staircase, and jump right into the middle of a brand new game with Gi-Hun and other participants.

Malaysians can also show off their ddakji playing skills to win a special prize.

Fans Decide

Like the show, it ends with a ‘live’ voting counter, where fans can decide if they want to continue or not, under the watchful eyes of Pink Guards.

From 20 to 22 December (at selected playtimes throughout the day), you can encounter the “Ddakji Man” on a recruitment drive at the concourse of MRT Ampang Park, challenging commuters to a game of ddakji.

Best him with your ddakji flipping skills to win a limited edition Squid Game 2 Touch ‘n Go card.

All Aboard

In the station itself you will find Pink Guards ominously guarding the women-only coach from offenders. Onboard the Squid Game 2 train commuters have to pick a side between Gi-Hun and the Front Man.

The specially decorated Squid Game 2 train (No. 206) will be running on the MRT Putrajaya Line in Kuala Lumpur from now until 31 January 2025.

Outside the MRT Ampang Park’s Urban Skate Plaza, a larger-than-life Young-hee awaits to play Red Light, Green Light with potential players from 20 December 2024 to 13 January 2025.

Standing at 22 feet tall, she keeps a close eye on whoever dares cross her path. Take a photo with her, but remember to stand very still.
