
PENAMPANG: Sekolah Menengah St Michael did it again. About 4,857 ginger saplings were planted within three months and this qualifies them to be in the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR), again.
For the 12th time now the school succeeded to break record with the latest entry — the largest Zingiber (ginger) Officinale Tree Planting.
AdvertisementThe certificate of entry and achievement were given to the school’s principal Jennifer Asing by the MBR official Siti Nurhanim Mohd Noh. The latest count ginger planted was 4,857, exceeded target of over 3,000 saplings.
This announcement was made in a ground-breaking ceremony officiated by Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Datuk Ewon Benedict.
