Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan sacrificed the comfort of life since the early 1980s to voice Sabah’s rights.
Star Information Chief Jalumin Bayogoh said Jeffrey, who is currently Deputy Chief Minister, had been doing so for more than half a century until he became a fugitive during Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s tenure as Prime Minister and was detained under the ISA.
“Now Jeffrey’s struggle is bearing fruit with more and more Sabah’s rights in the federation being fulfilled while political parties race to become heroes fighting for Sabah’s rights,” he said.
