KUALA SELANGOR - Former Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar has insisted that he is more interested in supporting the young candidates in the state elections

Noh said the country needs competent young leaders as successors to shape and determine the future of Malaysia.

"Right now, I am more interested in looking at young leaders in the frontlines and I will give them support," he said when met after handing out aid to storm victims in Kampung Bestari Jaya, here, today.

When asked about his plans in politics, Noh said that he now wants to focus on doing welfare works for the people in Tanjong Karang.

"I will continue these welfare programmes, especially involving the residents of Tanjong Karang Parliament," he said.
