
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Head of State Tun Dr Musa Aman, together with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, led State leaders in attending the Tahlil, Thanksgiving and Special Prayers in conjunction with the 2025 State-level National Day and Sabah Day celebration at Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, Friday.
Also present were Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Kadzim M Yahya, Deputy Chief Minister III cum Public Works Minister Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, State Secretary Datuk Seri Sr Safar Untong, assemblymen as well as heads of government departments.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Yasin, tahlil and thanksgiving prayers, followed by the call to prayer (azan), Friday Prayers and solat hajat (special prayers) to seek blessings, safety and wellbeing for the people and Sabah.
The annual programme is held to instil the spirit of patriotism and as a symbolic gesture of gratitude by the people of Sabah for the peace, progress and harmony that have continued to be enjoyed since the formation of Malaysia.
