
IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU) has launched its online centralised admission counselling portal for the 2026-27 academic session. This enables students to apply for centralised and campus admissions—covering courses such as engineering, pharmacy and management—through a single portal.
Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal inaugurated the portal on Monday. “Applications can be submitted through this portal for admission to the IKG-PTU main campus, its other campuses (Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Batala, Mohali-1 and Khunimajra (Mohali-2), and the university’s affiliated colleges. Seat allocation for students will be conducted online. This online centralised admission counselling portal will also facilitate seat allocation for Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) Bathinda and its campuses and affiliated colleges.
According to the university notification, the first phase of online centralised admission counselling commenced on Monday, June 15. Registration and payment of counselling fees for the first round can be completed from June 15 until 5.00 pm on June 18. College preferences (choice filling) can be submitted from June 19 to June 21 till 5 pm. The result of the first phase of counselling will be declared on June 25. Students will be able to secure admission at their allotted colleges from 9.00 am on June 26 to June 30 till 5.00 pm. The university has released the schedule for a total of three rounds of online counselling. This counselling covers undergraduate programs, including B.Tech (1st year), B. Pharm (1st year), Pharm.D, B.Architecture, BHMCT, BBA, and BCA.
On this launch of portal ceremony Dean (Academic Affairs) and Chairman (Admissions) Prof (Dr) Yadwinder Singh Brar, Dean (College Development) Dr RPS Bedi, Registrar Dr Navdeepak Sandhu, Associate Dean Prof (Dr) Rajiv Bedi and others were present.
