KUALA LUMPUR - Hefty penalties, including dismissal, will be imposed on any army officers or trainees involved in bullying cases.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said that action can be taken if proven against those who are involved and ignore laws and prohibitions during service.

He said this when commenting on the bullying of five trainees at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Kuantan.

The incident was revealed after a woman’s allegations about her younger brother being bullied at the air base went viral on social media recently.
