PENAMPANG: The leadership of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) Sabah needs to strengthen its communication and relationships especially among the youth and veterans.

Star President Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey G Kitingan said the people and party members at various levels needed guidance in the form of knowledge, skills and assistance to implement the programme.

He said this in reference to Vice President Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman @ Banand’s keynote speech entitled ‘Empowering Communication’ during the Star National Convention at ITCC.

Annuar suggested the implementation of leadership training and management programmes at all levels of the party to provide skills and knowledge involving young people and the senior citizens.

“We have gone through various successes, but do not be complacent about communication, relationships and party governance which also demands changes in line with the current changes,” he said.

Eventually, he said Star is no longer an opposition party but a government party that has a great duty and responsibility to carry on the duty to the people.
