Kota Kinabalu: Stronger collaboration between the Federal and State governments is essential to improve public service delivery in Sabah, said Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab.
He said close, harmonious and positive working relationships between Federal and State agencies must be maintained to ensure effective implementation of government policies.
Mohd Razali said there was no room for silo mentality, stressing that closer integration and synergy were needed to support the Sabah Maju Jaya agenda.
“Strong cooperation would also facilitate development efforts and help resolve local issues more effectively,” he said this when delivering his address at the Second Meeting of Heads of Federal Departments and Federal Statutory Bodies in Sabah 2026 at Intan Sabah Campus, Wednesday.
Mohd Razali also urged Federal civil servants in Sabah to improve service delivery by embracing a high-performance, outcome-based work culture.
“Greater use of digital innovation, faster action and a stronger sense of urgency were needed to ensure Federal policies delivered maximum benefits to the people of Sabah,” he said.
A total of 161 heads of Federal departments and statutory bodies attended the meeting, which discussed administrative, development and security issues in the State.
Sedia Chief Executive Datuk Seri Hashim Paijan and State Health Director Datuk Dr William Gotulis were among those present.
