Organised on May 22 and 23, the tournament brought together young sportspersons from various DAV institutions, transforming the event into a vibrant celebration of discipline, teamwork and the true spirit of sportsmanship.

The prestigious tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from nine schools of Cluster-III—namely Mandi, Pandoh, Jamthal, Katrain, Ner Chowk, Gohar, Manali, Kullu and Sundernagar. Around 300 students participated in the mega sporting event, competing with determination and enthusiasm across a wide range of disciplines.

The event was graced by guest of honour Vandana Guleria, who highly appreciated the dedication, perseverance and sporting spirit displayed by the participants throughout the tournament. Addressing the gathering, she encouraged students to continue striving for excellence both on and off the field and emphasised the importance of sports in shaping confident and disciplined individuals.

The presence of RS Rana, Cluster Head, added further significance to the occasion. He praised the organisers and participants for making the tournament a grand success and highlighted the role of sports in promoting unity, leadership and healthy competition among students.

Distinguished observers Chandrika Malhotra, Principal, DAV-Katrain, and Vandana Kapur, Principal, DAV-Pandoh, applauded the exceptional performances and sportsmanship exhibited by the budding athletes throughout the event.

The tournament featured competitions in several exciting sporting disciplines, including kabaddi, wushu, kho-kho, yoga, chess, cricket, boxing, and rope skipping. Participants displayed extraordinary stamina, coordination, resilience and team spirit, making each event highly competitive and entertaining.

The successful organisation of the tournament was made possible through the tireless efforts and cooperation of sports officials, faculty members, escort teachers and volunteers from all participating schools. Their dedication and support ensured the seamless conduct of all events and contributed significantly to the overall success of the tournament.

Principal KS Guleria emphasised the transformative role of sports in the holistic development of students. He stated that such tournaments not only nurture physical fitness and competitive spirit but also instil essential values like discipline, perseverance, confidence, unity and fair play among young learners.
