Study on Tondulu water catchment

TAMBUNAN: The Sabah Forestry Department (SFD) handed over a book containing the result of a study on the Tondulu water catchment area to the Tambunan Community Development Leader (PPM), Alexius Kiob, at the UPPM Tambunan Office here last Wednesday.

The book was handed over by the SFD delegation head Esther Dyi Ka Mei.

Alexius said the study was part of a SFD project to empower the monitoring of forest ecosystem services to support the development of green strategies in Sabah.

He said apart from that, water protection areas are to maintain the quantity and quality of water resources and the aquatic environment.

SFD started the study in 2022.
