Kota Kinabalu: The revised 2023 Budget unveiled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim focuses and places utmost importance on the country’s economic recovery post- pandemic, apart from giving top priority to the people’s welfare.
Stating this, Sabah United Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SUCCC) President Tan Sri Andrew Liew said the well-thought, balanced and transparent budget took into account the country’s current financial standing and striking a balance between deficit reduction and safeguarding the people’s wellbeing.
He said the revised budget included a number of breakthrough announcements, among which was the allocation of RM6.5 billion and RM5.6 billion for Sabah and Sarawak, respectively.
