SANDAKAN: Sabah Umno Information Chief, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir is confident that the BN-PH (Barisan Naisonal-Pakatan Harpaan) coalition in the 17th Sabah Elections will happen as stated by Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, but first needs to be refined like what Sabah Umno Chief, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said.
He said whatever the decision of Sabah Umno or Sabah BN, it is based on the autonomy given.
He said the cooperation is good to further strengthen the relationship between the two main parties that form the government at the central level.
“I am confident that the cooperation between Sabah BN and Sabah PH will be able to bring about positive results in the Sabah elections and further create political stability at the central and state levels,” he said in a statement here on Thursday.

He said no problem have arisen between BN and PH at central nor state levels.
“I am also confident that the leadership of Sabah BN and Sabah PH will sit together to discuss the best mechanism and model to face Sabah elections later,” he said.
Zahid who is also BN Chairman has also stated that BN in principle agreed to cooperate and form a coalition in facing the coming Sabah elections.
Meanwhile, Sabah BN Chairman Bung Moktar said discussions will be held to refine BN’s cooperation with PH to face the upcoming elections.
