Sukma 2022: Swimmer Shun Qi wins gold for Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Sept 22 — Swimmer Lim Shun Qi splashed her way to win a gold medal yesterday to help Selangor increase its medal haul in the 20th Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2022.

Lim clocked two minutes and 19.13 seconds to emerge victorious in the women’s 200m butterfly event at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil.

Johor’s Ong Yong Qi (2:19.26s) and Selangor’s Yoong Jia Jia (2:24.09s) claimed silver and bronze, respectively.

In a post on Twitter yesterday, Selangor National Sports Council (MSNS) thanked and congratulated Lim for her success.

With 490 participants and 75 coaches taking part in 30 sporting events, Selangor has set a goal to win 40 gold, 40 silver, and 45 bronze medals at Sukma 2022.
