
Kota Kinabalu: The Sea Dragon Swimming Club’s president, Johnny Wong expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and generous contributions of essential swim gear for the club’s swimmers, who are set to represent the club in the upcoming Sukma Games in Kuching, Sarawak.
Wong noted that the community and supporters are eagerly anticipating the performance of the swimming team, with hopes for outstanding results in the forthcoming games.
“Our club has always taken pride in fostering young talent and providing our athletes with the resources they need to excel.
This year, the response from our supporters has been nothing short of extraordinary.

He extended special thanks to Probiocare Sdn Bhd, the distributor of LactoGG, a premium probiotics brand, for their generous contribution.
“The company provided Upline swim equipment bags for the swimmers, along with other goodies and of course, a healthy supply of LactoGG to support the team’s health and performance throughout the competition.
Contributions poured in from various segments of the community, including local businesses, individual donors and alumni of the Sea Dragon Swimming Club.
The funds raised were used to purchase swimwear, goggles, training equipment, and other necessary gear for the Sukma swimmers.
This support not only boosts their confidence but also motivates them to strive for excellence,” Wong admitted.
He said with the new gear, the swimmers are better prepared to face the rigorous demands of the competition, allowing them to focus on their performance and personal bests.
The athletes representing the club are Emmanuel Loh, Rachel Chu, Lea Jarriot Chew Mei, Denise Koshy, Sharon Voon, and Shane Wong.
They would be accompanied by team manager Mike Yap and the club president, Johnny Wong.
Over the years, the club had produced numerous young talents who had earned various medals for the state.
The Sukma Games, a biennial event will take place from August 17 to 24 at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Stadium in Kuching, Sarawak.
The next Sukma Games in 2026 will be hosted in Selangor.
