The Sultan of Kedah graces Aidilfitri reception with civil servants, strengthening royal-civil ties in a festive gathering at Istana Anak Bukit
ALOR SETAR: The Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, today graced the Aidilfitri reception with civil servants at Istana Anak Bukit here.
Also in attendance were the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff; Raja Muda of Kedah, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin; Raja Puan Muda of Kedah, Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff; Tunku Mahkota of Kedah, Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Sultan Sallehuddin; and Tunku Puan Mahkota of Kedah, Che Puan Nur Julie Ariff, who joined the reception at the Balai Santapan Besar.
Also present were Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Kedah State Secretary Datuk Seri Norizan Khazali, and Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.
Among the dishes served at the reception were ketupat, lemang, beef rendang, ayam kuzi, soto ayam, nasi minyak and festive cookies.
Later, His Royal Highness and members of the royal family took time to mingle with the guests and presented duit raya to the civil servants in attendance as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill.
The event reflected the close ties and mutual respect between the Royal Institution and the civil service in a warm and cordial atmosphere, in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration.
