Sunday’s sport: What’s on and where can I watch it?

A record-breaking crowd of over 565,000 will have attended the Formula One race weekend at Silverstone with the British Grand Prix set for the chequered flag on Sunday.

England Women will bid for a rare victory against old foe Australia in the T20 World Cup final at Lord’s, Brazil face Norway in their World Cup knockout match in New York and at Wimbledon, both the men’s and women’s singles have reached the round of 16.

Here is what is happening in an action-packed sporting schedule on Sunday – and where you can watch it unfold in the UK.

British trio go for Grand Prix glory at Silverstone

Championship contenders George Russell, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton are among those bidding for a home victory at Silverstone (Channel 4 1430, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports Main Event 1455).

McLaren’s reigning world champion Norris is hoping for a repeat of last year’s home win, Ferrari’s Hamilton is in contention for a record-extending 10th British Grand Prix title and Mercedes’ Russell can also end the weekend top of the drivers’ championship.

England face Australia in Women’s T20 World Cup final

England have yet to beat old rivals Australia in a World Cup final in any format in six attempts and the two sides face each other in the T20 final at Lord’s (Sky Sports Cricket 1430, Sky Sports Main Event 1700).

Both sides have progressed unbeaten in the tournament and while England are aiming to lift the trophy for the first time since 2009, Australia are chasing a record-extending seventh title.

Erling Haaland’s Norway bid to topple Brazil

Five-time winners Brazil and Norway will bid to book their place in the World Cup quarter-finals with victory in their last-16 clash at the New York New Jersey Stadium (ITV 2015).

Erling Haaland’s Norway have never lost to Brazil in four previous meetings and the only time the two sides have met at the World Cup, in France in 1998, the Scandinavians won 2-1.

Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are both in action in the last 16 of the men’s singles at Wimbledon against Russia’s Roman Safiullin and Japan’s Shintaro Mochizuki respectively, and all the day’s action can be followed on BBC Two 1100, 2000 and BBC One 1235, 1615.

Three Super League fixtures include table-toppers Leeds’ home clash against local rivals Bradford (Sky Sports Action 1445), Wigan versus St Helens at The Brick Community Stadium (Sky Sports Action 1730) and Wakefield’s home game against Castleford (Sky Sports Action 1200).

In golf, the final rounds at the DP World Tour’s BMW International Open (Sky Sports Golf 1200) and the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic (Sky Sports Golf 1700) will both unfold.
