Sunway University tops Malaysia’s graduate employability ranking for the 5th year, empowering students with industry-ready skills and mentorship.
SUNWAY University has been ranked Malaysia’s leading university for graduate employability for the fifth year in a row, according to Talentbank’s 2026 National Graduate Employability Index.
The Index, a trusted employer-driven benchmark, evaluates universities based on surveys covering preferred recruitment, hiring volume, and future hiring intentions.
The recognition follows Sunway University’s recent accolade from AppliedHE, naming it the #1 Private University in Southeast Asia for the third consecutive year.
The university also achieved a milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, placing in the 301–350 global band.
These achievements underscore Sunway University’s reputation as the top non-government-linked private university in Malaysia and the ASEAN region, highlighting its research impact, global outlook, and strong graduate employability.
Professor Sibrandes Poppema, President and Vice Chancellor of Sunway University, said: “Being recognised as Malaysia’s top university for graduate employability for the fifth consecutive year is a proud moment for Sunway University.
“As a mission-driven, 5th generation university, we are committed to delivering industry-relevant education, nurturing future-ready talent, and fostering meaningful partnerships that empower our graduates to thrive in a rapidly evolving global workforce.
“This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, faculty, and partners in driving impact through knowledge and innovation.”
A key contributor to the university’s success is its Success X-Factor Coaching initiative, a signature programme connecting students with educators, industry professionals, and senior leaders.
Through mentorship and real-world insights, the initiative equips students with the skills and confidence needed to navigate challenges and succeed beyond graduation.
Sunway University’s consistent recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to producing well-rounded, industry-ready graduates capable of thriving in Malaysia and the global workforce.
