A Superbike rider has died following an accident in a race in Coleraine, Northern Ireland on Thursday.
"The session was immediately red flagged and emergency services attended the scene but unfortunately the rider succumbed to his injuries," a statement from organizers said.
"The family have given their approval for the event to continue but have requested that the rider not be named at this time."
The North West 200 motorcycle event began in 1929 and is held on closed public roads lined with spectators.
