
LAHAD DATU: Swift action by the owner and neighbours prevented two four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles from being completely destroyed in fire at Palm Height, here, Thursday night.
The State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call following the incident at 10.39pm.
A team of 10 firefighters was deployed to the scene in two machineries.

The team reported that a Toyota Rogue and Toyota Fortuner suffered 20 per cent damage while the ceiling of the garage suffered five per cent damage.
“The team reported that no victim was involved in the incident. The fire was put out by the owner and members of the public.
The operation at 11.19pm after ensuring there was no other danger at the scene, the department added.
