Sword-wielding man threatens motorists during argument at petrol station

A HEATED argument ensued between two road users at a petrol station in Kedah, at the Gurun Rest and Service Area (RnR), The Rakyat Post reported.

The footage of the altercation went viral on Saturday after it was shared on social media.

Read more The incident allegedly started when one of the drivers honked his horn to reprimand another driver who was said to be using a mobile phone while driving.

However, the man chased the individual’s vehicle to a petrol station.

The 31-second video shows the man holding what appears to be a samurai sword while hurling threats and asking the driver who honked at him to apologise.

Several motorists were spotted trying to calm him down as the person recording the video asked the petrol station staff to contact the police.

Further details of the dispute between the two individuals remained unclear.

It is also unknown whether police reports have been filed concerning the incident.

Carrying swords in public places in Malaysia is illegal under the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.
