
LAHAD DATU: Police crippled a drug trafficking syndicate with the arrest of four Indonesian men and the seizure of Syabu as well as weapons.
District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau said police made the arrest and seizure in a raid on worker’s hut at a plantation in Jalan Jeroco, about 4.30pm on Friday. He said the team arrested four Indonesians without valid identification documents.

“The four suspects tested positive for a mphetamine and methamphetamine,” he said.
The suspects are currently in their custody for further investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952, Section 7(1)(A) of Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offences Weapons Act 1958 and Section 8(a) of the Firearms Act 1960.
Jimmy said further investigations are ongoing to identify the drug trafficking network and the source of supplies.
