KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a former chairman of the Tabung Haji board and a former secretary-general of the Treasury to assist in investigations into issues raised in the Royal Commission of Inquiry Report on Tabung Haji.
It said the two men, in their 60s, were arrested at 4pm today when they appeared at the MACC Putrajaya headquarters.
"They are expected to be brought to the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court for a remand application tomorrow," the MACC said in a TikTok post.
Meanwhile, when contacted, its Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrests.
On August 15, the MACC arrested seven individuals, including a chief executive officer, a company director, a former company director, and four Tabung Haji former senior management personnel.
