KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a former chairman of the Tabung Haji (TH) Board and a former secretary-general of the Treasury to assist in investigations into issues raised in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) Report on Tabung Haji.
The MACC, in a post on the agency's official TikTok social media account, announced that the two men, aged in their 60s, were arrested at about 4pm today when they appeared at the MACC Putrajaya headquarters.
"They are expected to be brought to the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court for a remand application tomorrow," the post said.
Meanwhile, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman, when contacted, confirmed the arrests.
On Aug 15, MACC arrested seven individuals comprising a chief executive officer (CEO), a company director, a former company director and four former senior management personnel of TH. – BERNAMA
