
Kota Kinabalu: The Chinese Taipei’s Yanshuei Elementary School soft tennis team arrived here on Tuesday for a joint training programme with Sabah Soft Tennis Association (SSTA).
The visiting team with 10 players led by the headmaster and two teachers as well as eight family members was greeted by SSTA president Justin Liew, head coach KK Chin and other officials upon their arrival.

In addition to an education tour to visit SJKC St James, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Mari-mari Cultural Village, sightseeing trips around the city was also arranged for the Taiwanese.

The players are Jayden Jay Ng, Wee Jian Fang, Ayden Ho Ming Xuan, Louis Ho Ming Kang, Mason Lo Hoe Jun, Amelia Lo Wei Qi, Amanda Sophie Ng, Michah Joel Lai, Abby Siaw Mei Qi and Makayla Lai Chang Li.

Chin, who is also SEASTF (South East Asia Soft Tennis Federation) secretary general, also said Malaysia will be represented by two players with one head coach at the annual 103rd DongA International Soft Tennis Tournament to be held in South Korea from May 2-10.
