Netflix is teaming up with renowned Korean producer Na Yung-suk for ‘Take a Hike!’, a new adventure reality series that swaps comfortable studio settings for South Korea’s snow-covered mountains. Ahead of its August premiere, here’s everything we know about the upcoming unscripted show.
Produced by Na Yung-suk and Park Hyun-yong, the Netflix series follows four reluctant hikers as they tackle their first-ever midwinter mountain expedition, testing their endurance, teamwork and sense of humour.

‘Take a Hike!’ is a Korean reality series that follows four celebrities with little to no interest in mountaineering as they set out on a challenging winter trek across South Korea’s snow-covered mountains. Throughout the journey, they face steep climbs, freezing temperatures and unfamiliar terrain while searching for an answer to a simple question: “Why do people hike?”
Rather than focusing on competition, the series highlights the cast’s genuine reactions as they push through physical hardship, develop unexpected friendships and experience the beauty of Korea’s winter landscapes. Producer Park Hyun-yong has described it as a “raw” reality show that places four people far removed from mountain life into an extreme environment, allowing their natural chemistry to emerge.
Who is in the cast of ‘Take a Hike!’?
The confirmed cast includes singer Car, the garden, DAY6 drummer Dowoon, actor Lee Chae-min (‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’, 2025) and ALLDAY PROJECT member Tarzzan. Together, the four reluctant hikers embark on their first snowy mountain expedition, with their contrasting personalities expected to drive much of the show’s humour and camaraderie.
When will ‘Take a Hike!’ be released?
Netflix has confirmed that ‘Take a Hike!’ will premiere on 18 August 2026.

While the official trailer is yet to be released, Netflix has dropped the teaser, offering a first look at the cast’s gruelling winter hike and the unexpected challenges awaiting the four reluctant adventurers.
