KOTA KINABALU: Residents in Tanjung Aru and Sembulan were not left unattended during the recent water supply disruption, as bottled water distribution was carried out to ease their burden.

The initiative was led by committee member Dr. Ritchie Jay Cheng in collaboration with Parti Gagasan Rakyat Tanjung Aru volunteers, ensuring affected households had access to clean water for daily use.

"The disruption stemmed from treatment plant issues caused by natural disasters and repair works on a burst pipe behind Maktab Sabah School.

"Authorities confirmed restoration works are being carried out in stages," he said.

Dr. Ritchie thanked the volunteers for their commitment, stressing that no community should feel neglected during such times.

“When the people face hardship due to water disruptions, it is our responsibility to step forward and help.

"Though small, this effort brings meaningful relief to their daily burden,” he added.
