
LAHAD DATU: A 34-tonne crude palm oil (CPO) tanker belonging to Jeroco Plantations overturned on the left lane of the Pan Borneo Segama roundabout in Lahad Datu on Thursday morning.
The emergency call was received at 8:40am and rescue worked arrived on scene within nine minutes. No casualties were reported.
Firefighters disconnected the tanker’s battery to prevent sparks and coordinated with police and Pan Borneo contractors.
One traffic police officer and eight contractors assisted at the scene.
Cleanup was carried out using sand while the company awaited a pump to remove the spilled CPO.
The operation concluded safely at 9:40am.
