
KOTA KINABALU: Tawau will host the Sabah Games (SAGA) XI this October. Sabah Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Elron Angin said the proposed date for the 11th edition of the biennial SAGA is October 11 to 17.
“Tawau District will be the host for the third time. The last time it played host was the seventh SAGA in 2015 and the third Games in 2007.
Advertisement“The Games this time will be participated by 30 teams with additions from Sook district and also Paitan as a new full district.
“25 events will be contested compared to 22 sports events in SAGA X 2023.

Elron added, the 11th edition of SAGA is expected to be a talent hunt.

Also present were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Datuk Mansur Asun and the Director of the National Sports Council (MSN) of Sabah Mohd Asneh Mohd Noor.
